In 2023, the Minnesota legislature passed a MinnesotaCare Public Option creating access to high quality healthcare for owners of small businesses, independent contractors, farmers, young people rolling off their parents' insurance, and anyone who can’t access employer-based health insurance. But as this bill moves into implementation, the insurance industry is seeking to control this and make the Public Option profit-centered, instead of people-centered. If you have struggled in dealing with insurance companies controlling the care you can receive and rejecting your claims due to charges were not pre-authorized or a physician was not in your network or the myriad of reasons insurance companies refuse to pay, your attendance is so important. Please come learn about the Public Option and join in conversations with Grace Arnold, from the Minnesota Department of Commerce, Rep. Tina Liebling and Sen. Liz Boldon on how it needs to be designed to ensure every Minnesotan gets the healthcare they need.
