The Laudato Si Movement globally, in cooperation with the Catholic Climate Covenant, are proposing "Pilgrimages of Hope for Creation" during the Season of Creation, September 1 - October 4, 2025. This marks the 800th anniversary of St Francis of Assisi "Canticle of the Creatures", the 10th Anniversary of Pope Francis' encyclical "Laudato Si", the Jubilee Year of Hope, and now the legacy of our dear Pope Francis.

The Pilgrimage of Hope for Creation here in Rochester will be September 20th at Cascade Meadows/St Mary’s University Rochester, starting at 9:00am. This will be a time for prayer, reflection, and action focused on the interrelated social and environmental crisis facing our world today.

These Pilgrimages, as all pilgrimages, are not an end in themselves, but a new inspired beginning to mobilize Catholics and other people of good will to creative contemplation and action.
