“Cry of the Earth, Cry of the Poor” Listening Sessions are being planned by the Laudato Si Movement North America and the Catholic Climate Covenant with 18 collaborating organizations across the country. These sessions are for the purpose of hearing the voices of those most impacted by combined, interconnected social and environmental crises. How have your lives been impacted and what is your story of the effects on you, your family, your faith and your community? These conversations invite us to listen with the “ear of the heart” and Pope Leo invites us to “slow down” and take time to pray, reflect, and then act in response to the “cry of the earth and the cry of the poor”. Two specific questions will probe the effects and accompaniment. Each person will have a specific time to respond to the two questions presented. This two-hour "Conversation in the Spirit” will be held Sunday, November 8 at the Co-Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist. Gathering and seating at 12:45pm, session starting at 1:00pm.
