Special Youth Masses

Throughout the year, we hold special youth Masses that are focused on engaging young people in serving at Sunday Mass. These liturgies intend to invite young people to volunteer and serve on a regular basis during the sacred liturgy. Contact us if you would like to be involved!

First Eucharist Preparation:

As it states in the National Directory of Catechesis "Parents must be recognized as being primarily and principally responsible for their children's religious education." Therefore, it is the mission of the Co-Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist to assist our families in bringing their children into full initiation within their Catholic Community through preparation and reception of the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist by providing opportunities for children to experience and grow in their knowledge of these sacraments which will deepen their relationship with Jesus. Children celebrate the sacrament when parents, child and coordinator agree that the child is ready. Children need to celebrate First Reconciliation prior to receiving their First Eucharist.
