Dear Fellow Parishioner:
Recently, a new priest/chaplain from the Mayo Medical Community, Father John Evans, came to introduce himself with a desire to become more familiar with the parishes in the city. He comes from Fargo, ND and finds his initial experience here to be very interesting and positive. As I welcomed him to our parish with a tour of the space, I was very moved by his awareness of all the detail that has allowed us to create such beauty for ourselves and all who enter this place of harmony. He did not miss anything in his description of our welcoming space for education, worship, prayer, administration and outreach. I was very grateful for his support of all that has been done and mindful of your generosity that has been exceptional in creating this place.
Our parish center update continues the need for this same attention as we address needs for security, greater dignity for the poor we serve, a clear entrance that reaches the school, church and parish center and space that is more welcoming for all who enter for whatever reason. Also, our ability to serve people on the weekends will be greatly enhanced. When this space was created over ten years ago it was a miracle of change for everyone and we take another step as we incorporate the center for greater outreach and service.
We need your generosity in order to begin this work in March of 2008. You have been faithful and I ask Christ to open your hearts with a commitment by returning your pledge card, which has options for your sacrifice and giving to our community. These changes are about all of us as we use this space and have a desire to serve the thousands of people who intersect here every week. Thank you!
Gratefully in the Lord Jesus,
