First Communion

“Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.” - 1 Corinthians 11.28

First Communion typically happens during the second half of a child's second grade year. Every child who was registered for First Reconciliation, which must be received first, is automatically registered for the First Communion preparation program.

Parents of children who are past second grade and have not received Reconciliation or Communion should come to the parish office to plan a personalized program for their child. Adults, even those baptized in the Catholic Church, who have not received these sacraments should participate in the RCIA.

First Communion These are the signs that we have become Christians and joined the family of God. They are called the sacraments of initiation. The Eucharist – or Mass – is the continual celebration of our Christian life.
